We Are One

This is an article I had written in October, 2014.  More than ever, I believe that We Are One. Thank you for allowing me to share this experience with you.

Blessings,

Brenda

Archangel Sandalphon is referred to as the “Angel of Music and Prayer”.  Having “lived on earth as the prophet Elijah before ascending into heaven “. Sandalphon is the “twin brother” of Angel Metatron.  Sandalphon gathers the prayers from earth, winds them into a garland of “spiritual flowers” and presents them to God.  I would imagine, just as music is a universal language, (think about opera where you do not know the language, yet you can sense the emotion via the music) the emotion behind these prayers from Earth are universal as well. Concern for our loved ones, or prayers for healing, the emotion at the root of these prayers is that of love.  As I would sit in the ICU waiting room at Mercy hospital during my Mom’s last stay, I noticed a family of what I believed was Middle Eastern Indian descent. In particular, a young lady, not more than 25 years old, was always there, even when the other family members were not. The room was not that large, and she would use her cell phone to speak to people while I too was in the room. Hence, I could hear most of her conversations, and gleaned that she was the health care advocate for her mother, who had suffered a brain aneurism and would be having brain surgery. I could hear the fear and sense of despair in her voice, as she would update others as to her mom’s condition, and question if she was making the right decisions for her mother’s care. One day I was moved to speak to her. I told her that my mom was in ICU too, and I was her health care advocate, and that it was a big responsibility. With that, her eyes welled up with tears, and I offered her a hug, which she accepted instantly. I looked into her eyes and told her that should I ever require such care, that I could only hope that my children were as kind, caring and conscientious as she, and that she was strong enough to do this for her Mom, and that her Mom was so lucky to have her. More hugs, tears and a few smiles later, we had become friends. So when I came to the hospital, I would inquire as to how her mom was progressing, and she would do the same.  One day, the whole family was there, and I surmised from the worry and tension in the room, that it was surgery day. A much older woman, dressed in beautiful golden Indian tapestry came forward to me as I walked in the door. My friend introduced the woman as her grandmother. As I held out my hand, the woman looked up into my eyes, moved past my hand and closer to me. I had no choice but to put my arms around her. We sat down together on a nearby couch, and I held the grandmother’s hand as she laid her head on my shoulder. It felt like we sat there for what seemed to be an hour, but was probably only minutes. No words between us, just the contact of our eyes when we first met. Without words, we were sharing our grief, our worry and our prayers…prayers of a mother for her daughter‘s healing, and prayers of a daughter for her mother’s healing.  It was a moment of “universal language”, a moment of universal love. It is in these moments, that I am convinced that we are “all one”.  I am sure that Angel Sandalphon was with us that day, surrounding us in his love and light, weaving our prayers into amazingly beautiful spiritual garlands for God.  Angels are here to help us. All you need to do is ask. If you feel inspired to, call upon Archangel Sandalphon to help you send your prayers to God.
